28 May - Graduation party for Darcy! Join with us as we celebrate Darcy’s graduation from High School.
4 June – Day of Pentecost – Celebration of the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the believers and birthday of the church. WEAR RED to celebrate this festive day!
We need your help – The church has found a person to help clean the church, but we do not have funds set aside for a sexton (fancy word for church cleaner) in our current budget. The cost would be $60/3 hours of cleaning. We ask for your contributions to have this service at least once a month for the remainder of this year (and we will see about budgeting for next year). If you would like to sponsor a month of cleaning, see Janet to make your contribution.
Parish Hall refurbishment plans are ready for review, posted on wall in Parish Hall. All Church meeting for Q&A 4 June after church in Parish Hall. We want to hear from you about your questions and comments.
Ideas/ for the two small windows (Narthex and Library) to be done as stained glass windows are available for review and voting in the Parish Hall. Please VOTE FOR 2-3 of your favorites by putting a check, star, smiley, etc… next to the ones you like best. Vote by 11 June.
Bishop Smith will come to Safford in early June to discuss the next steps for All Saints and St. Philips & St. James churches in the new Vicar process. Members from both churches will meet at All Saints that day (tbd) to hear from the Bishop.
18 June - Father’s Day Cookout in the church yard – We invite our families and their friends to come to a cookout in the church yard for Father’s Day. We will have hotdogs, burgers, chips, and Root Beer/beverages.
Gretchen Rabb Sunday – 25 June we will have a special collection of donations to continue the Fund established by Gretchen Rabb to support single parents with kids. Children were a delight to Gretchen and her legacy is to help those who are single parents with kids. Please consider making a donation to the Gretchen Rabb Fund to support those who have limited means.
25 June – Training in how to lead Morning Prayer including how to prepare a homily/reflection. As our church moves into the summer months and Rev. Allison will be available to lead worship only twice per month, the congregation will have opportunities to lead worship in Morning Prayer. This training is intended to help members of the congregation become familiar with the Morning Prayer service and how to prepare a homily/reflection based on the readings for that day. Everyone interested in learning or reviewing this worship service is invited and encouraged to come and participate.
Donate to UA’s campus ministry – The Rev. Ben Garren, chaplain to UA students and faculty, is collecting personal hygiene items for the students: bar soap, razors, feminine hygiene products, combs, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant. These will be made available to students with tight budgets. Money donations are also helpful. Make checks payable to Episcopal Campus Ministry and send to Rev Ben Garren, 715 N Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85719.
